‘Sharknado 3’: Which Original Actors Are Returning? – ARTICLE

Ian Ziering and Tara Reid are going at it for a third time in "Sharknado 3," it was confirmed Thursday.

"Ok guys I have a great announcement get ready its official I just signed on to #Sharknado3 Woo hoo!!!!!" Tara Tweeted. "I'm so happy you guys are excited about #Sharknado3 here we go again!"

Ian already seemed committed to the project when he spoke to Access Hollywood's Liz Hernandez in December.

"I haven't seen a treatment yet, but I've got a lot of confidence in Thunder Levin, the writer. He keeps impressing me," Ian said. "Thank God we've got an amazing director Anthony C. Ferrante who is able to take that script and tell a story that is so epic that it's so hard to believe that that's part of the fun. It's kind of like a new genre. It's the fun movie where everyone's in on the joke except the actors."

For the third installment, sharks will invade the nation's capital, flying in to Washington, D.C.

"It's going to be out of this world," Ian promised.

Variety reported that Syfy and Asylum confirmed the casting news on Thursday at the TCAs in Pasadena, Calif. and that the movie will premiere in July on Syfy.
