Has the “Real Housewives Of New Jersey” been canceled? Not so fast. A misleading new story from RadarOnline claims the show is “essentially done,” but Gossip Cop has learned that’s not the case.
In the wake of Teresa Giudice beginning her 15-month prison sentence earlier this week, RadarOnline quotes an “insider” as saying, “Bravo has considered all of their options and they don’t feel like there is really a show without Teresa.”
But after declaring Giudice’s prison term a “death sentence” for the show, RadarOnline then backtracks, quoting another supposed “source,” who, contrary to the suggestion that the reality series is being canceled, instead says the show is merely “on a freeze.” The site clearly has no idea what’s actually going on with the franchise, and simply wanted to run a sensational headline, knowing they could play both sides of the story in the article.
In fact, proving that they know next to nothing about Giudice and Bravo, RadarOnline even contradicts its past claims about the star’s relationship with the network. After saying all last fall that Bravo wanted to milk Giudice’s situation before she went to prison, with supposed specials and spinoffs, the webloid now quotes yet another “insider” as saying, “Bravo is done with Teresa and wants nothing to do with her family.”
Um, maybe it’s time RadarOnline was “done” with “reporting” on Bravo, Giudice, and the “Real Housewives.” This is, after all, the same outlet that once claimed to have exclusive details on a “Housewives” reunion show months before it even taped. And, of course, the site’s current story makes NO MENTION of its November claim, in which RadarOnline wrongly said Guidice was already filming a new season of “Real Housewives Of New Jersey.”
In any case, despite RadarOnline’s new allegation that “Bravo is seriously considering canceling the series,” Gossip Cop hears the process has not actually reached that point, and that there has been “no decisions yet about the next season.” As they say in showbiz, stay tuned.
