Authorities said at least one person was killed when the small aircraft went down Friday afternoon.
Authorities did not immediately know how many people were inside the aircraft when it went it down at around 1:15 p.m. near Hayvenhurst Avenue and Vanowen Street, roughly one block south of the Van Nuys airport, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
At least one person was killed, fire officials said.
