Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber is opening himself up to ridicule.
Comedy Central announced Tuesday that the pop icon will be the subject of the cable network's 2015 roast. Like past roastees, including Charlie Sheen and James Franco, there will be no shortage of topics to cover, as the 20-year-old singer-songwriter has generated headlines for everything from his legal troubles to his allegedly heavily PhotoShopped Calvin Klein ad.

"Justin has been asking us for a few years to roast him, and we just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We're thrilled he listened," joked Comedy Central's president of content development and original programming Kent Alterman.
Via Twitter, Bieber reiterated that sentiment: "[Comedy Central] said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard."

Bieber is no stranger to the kind of digs likely to come from the Comedy Central roast. In fact, Saturday Night Live is among the comedy shows that take shots at Bieber with a degree of regularity. And he's proven to have a sense of humor about much of it, firing off a recent tweet — "@nbcSNL well played. Lol" — to his nearly 60 million followers following this week's Calvin Klein parody.
The roast will be taped in Los Angeles, but other details, including when the special will be taped and air, as well as a roster of roasters, has not been announced yet. In agreeing to be roasted, Bieber joins a laundry list of controversial subjects who have occupied the seat before him, including Joan Rivers, Donald Trump and Roseanne Barr, among many others.
