So about John Travolta's 3 AM gym visit… simple explanation – he does it all for his kids!
The 60-year-old actor explained his headline-making middle-of-the-night gym selfie with a male fan in a new interview with Access Hollywood.
"[I work out] for my health… as you get older, if you have kids that are young – I mean, my son's 4 and my daughter's 14. I should be really a grandfather, but I'm a father," John told Access at the Living Legend Aviation Awards on Friday. "They still want me to play with them at the level of a much younger man. So in order to stay healthy for them, that's what I do."

And John isn't just limited to the gym – he takes his workouts outdoors and takes supplements as well, all in hopes of keeping up with daughter Ella and son Benjamin.
"I play tennis every day and I lift weights, and I take vitamins and try to keep my health so I can stick around for them," he said.
In addition to his workout enthusiasm, the actor is also excited about his upcoming small screen role playing O.J. Simpson's attorney, Robert Shapiro, in FX's upcoming "American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson."
"Last year I was very busy – I found some movies that I liked, and I said yes to them and did them and they all came out excellently. And then I said yes to the miniseries of the O.J. story," he told Access. "I took a while to decide, but all my friends, all the people I respect most in the industry, said I should take that leap to do something special on television, and I'm doing it."
