Fergie: Josh Duhamel Is “Curious” About My Bikini Waxes, Goes To Therapy With Me

Fergie Allure Interview

(Allure)

Fergie covers the February 2015 issue of Allure, and opens up to the magazine about her sexy and sometimes not-so-sexy marriage to Josh Duhamel.

The couple began dating in 2004, not long after he admitted having a naughty dream about her. “He wanted to get in my pants,” recalls Fergie. But while it may have been sexual attraction that first brought them together, the stars built a relationship on something stronger. She explains to the outlet, “We just grew. And we grew into realizing that we wanted the same things in life. We wanted the same path. We both come from Catholic families.”

Now married for seven years and parents to 14-month old Axl (who joined Duhamel and Fergie in the Allure shoot), Fergie reveals they’ve participated in couple’s therapy. The actor is “not afraid” of being open in such a setting, says Fergie, noting, “He doesn’t feel like he’s not man enough.” Fergie shares an amusing anecdote, though, about her husband checking out her bikini waxes. “I’m like, ‘Okay, honey, hi.’ And I’m on all fours… But he doesn’t just leave; he gets curious!” she says.

Fergie is in the midst of a professional resurgence with her upcoming solo album, her first in eight years, and is also reportedly working on new Black Eyed Peas music. That comeback will soon greatly affect her personal life, and she and Duhamel have established a rule in which they will not spend more than two weeks apart. “We’ve already talked about how we’re going to have to trade off,” she reveals. “He’s going to have to come on tour with Axl for a while, and then there’ll be a break. He’ll take a job; I’ll be on set with [Axl].”

As she embarks on the next phase of her career, Fergie admits she did “feel some sort of pressure to come back out,” candidly telling Allure, “I felt that it was either going to be another baby or an album.” But she brings with her a positive, confident attitude. “I don’t read everything. I just figure with all my stuff, some people are going to like it; some people aren’t,” she says. “It’s a lot easier for me to just say, ‘F*ck it’ now!” What do you think of Fergie’s comments?
