Farrah Abraham is apparently returning to “Teen Mom.” The porn actress says she’s returning to the MTV franchise that made her a star, despite the opposition of other cast members.
“There’s going to be lots of excitement from the ‘Teen Mom’ fans and MTV’s fan base as well, so I’m excited to be back!” she tells Us Weekly. Last year, Abraham’s old “Teen Mom” co-stars Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout joined the new installment ahead of Abraham, amid reports that she was not exactly welcome. MTV ultimately decided to recruit Abraham anyway.
Abraham is quoted as saying, “I think they were more or less saying that there was more to my story that they really felt was missing from the ‘Teen Mom’ show, and I totally agree with them. I understand their point of view, and it was a funny situation to be in.”
According to “Teen Mom” creator Lauren Dolgen, “[The other cast members] know that she’s coming back, and it did create a little bit of controversy that will play out in the series.” She cites the show’s need for a fourth story as the reason for Abraham’s return.
Abraham became the most notorious “Teen Mom” alum over the last couple years (which is saying something) after she made a porn video with James Deen, which she weirdly insisted was an accidental “sex tape.” Abraham went on to attend porn conventions, sell a line of sex toys, and otherwise embrace her new career as a sex professional. Her daughter Sophia, the impetus for her original “Teen Mom” casting, is now five years old. What do you think about Abraham’s “Teen Mom” return?
