Eva Longoria is NOT engaged, despite rumors. Speculation that she and boyfriend Jose Antonio Baston are set to marry got started this week when unreliable webloid X17Online posted paparazzi pictures of the actress wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.
A number of outlets picked up the story, wondering whether the bling meant Longoria and Baston were planning to tie the knot. Some places even suggested her sparkler could be a wedding ring. On Thursday, Longoria set the record straight.
She explains in a new “Extra” interview, “I can see where people thought this was true… on New Year’s I wore white, because my black dress didn’t fit… then, because of the flight, I wear a ring on [my index finger], but I had to move it to [my ring finger], because I was so swollen from the flight.” There may have been additional confusion, Longoria says, because she and Baston were recently somewhere where they dedicated a song to friends who were newly engaged.
And the ring that attracted so much attention is something Longoria wears “all the time. It’s just a Martin Katz ring that I’ve had forever… nothing to share on that front.” There you have it. Longoria is not engaged. Check out the video below!
