Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield busted a woman in a restaurant, who tried to sneakily take a photo of them. The result is actually a hilarious photobomb of sorts (see right and below).
The couple, who hates being photographed by the paparazzi, also doesn’t like when amateurs attempt to take snaps of them. While dining recently at Lure Fishbar in New York, they caught a woman named Alejandra Garibay who thought she was being furtive while taking a picture with her cell phone, but Garfield and Stone were on to her. Garibay pretended to take a picture of her dining mate, and the couple was so aware of what she covertly was trying to do, they posed for the photo. Stone opened her mouth wide as if to act surprise, while Garfield simply stared directly at the camera.
Garibay knew she was busted, and noted in a caption accompanying the photo she posted to Instagram, “Ok, so… either I caught a great moment between #AndrewGarfield & #EmmaStone or I clearly got caught and I am officially FIRED as a paparazzi… #oops.” It’s definitely the latter.
Stone and Garfield have a history of trying to avoid being photographed. Last summer, the couple used hand-made signs that listed a number of charitable causes, as they their faces and blocked the paparazzi from taking their pictures. “We don’t need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do,” read Stone’s sign. And in 2012, Garfield tried reasoning with the paparazzi not to take photos of them while taking a Sunday stroll in New York.
