Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have NOT broken up again, despite a new report in OK! magazine claiming the “American Horror Story: Freak Show” co-stars’ relationship has become a “real-life nightmare.” Alleged “sources” for the outlet claim “the volatile couple’s engagement is off” because Roberts “blew up” when Peters “refused to spend Christmas with her family.”
“Evan thought she was being really selfish,” a so-called “insider” tells the tabloid. “He’d told her months before that he was spending the holidays with his family.” OK! says the couple’s friends believe they’re “headed for a permanent split.” According to the outlet’s “source,” Peters is “starting to resent her ferocious temper.”
Here’s what actually seems to have happened. OK! noticed rumors about the couple being in trouble earlier this month when Roberts was spotted without her engagement ring, even though it was explained at the time that Roberts often goes without her ring in public. Because there was no actual evidence for a breakup, OK! decided to go even further back in time and say they’d fought about Christmas.
This is simply untrue. The couple was fine over the holidays, and Roberts and Peters are still fine now. A rep for Roberts says there’s no truth to the rumor of the couple splitting again.
