The nominations for the 87th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday. Check out the FULL LIST of the 2015 Oscar nominees below, as well as video of the announcements!
Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel tied for the most nominations, with nine nods each, including Best Picture and best Director. Following close behind with eight nominations each are American Sniper and The Imitation Game.
Chris Pine and directors Alfonso Cuarón and J.J. Abrams made the announcements with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs. For the first time, all 24 categories had their nominees unveiled live, with producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron explaining last week that they wanted to start a new tradition. The two-part news conference was held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
