“Peter Pan LIVE!” airs on Thursday on NBC. Allison Williams stars as the boy who won’t grow up. Christopher Walken plays fearsome Captain Hook. There will be swashbuckling. There will be songs. There will be thrills and adventure. And, because it’s live television, there might be mistakes!
The big musical event comes after last year’s successful “The Sound of Music LIVE!” It follows the classic adventures of mischievous Peter Pan in the magical realm of Neverland. He can fly! He can fight! He can sing! Williams, best known for much more mature content on “Girls,” has wanted to play Pan since she was a little girl. Thursday is her big night to shine. Meanwhile, producers have said to expect Walken to bust out his legendary dance moves as the villainous Hook.
Who else is involved? Well, Christian Borle plays Mr. Darling and Smee. Kelli O’Hara portrays Mrs. Darling. Taylor Louderman is Wendy Darling. Jake Lucas and John Allyn play John and Michael Darling.
