‘The Voice’ Winner: ‘I Screamed Like A Girl’ – ARTICLE

"The Voice" crowned a Season 7 champ on Tuesday night.

Craig Wayne Boyd became the latest winner on the NBC reality singing competition, and the singer said he's still in shock over his win.

"I really haven't had time to process it yet," the new champ said during a press conference after the finale. "It's been quite a whirlwind. I think I was just onstage a minute or two ago. So I'm still trying to figure that out.

"It was...I don't even know what to say. I really don't," he continued. "I'm usually good at this stuff."

Craig became emotional after hearing his name announced.

"I was [emotional]. I screamed like a girl," he said. "It caught me so off guard. I don't know what I expected. I just felt like last night I did the best I could. I guess America took care of me after that."

Craig's win marks the fourth "Voice" champion from Team Blake Shelton, who is extremely proud of Craig's hard work.

"Let me start by saying, the greatest thing for me is to see this guy sitting here holding this trophy because I know how much he's put in to this competition firsthand," Blake said. "But, I'm also aware of how much he's put in to trying to make it as an artist in the music industry and the struggles and the ups and mostly the downs that he's had – all the doors shut in his face, carpet yanked out from under him.

"And then all of a sudden here's a guy who's the winner of 'The Voice' and already sold a crap load of music," he continued. "Just to see this happen for somebody that I feel like I can relate to because he moved to Nashville and he's been beating the streets and it's just – there has never been a more deserving person to hold that trophy than Craig Wayne Boyd as far as paying dues. I mean, this guy has put his time in."

The country superstar joked that he was ecstatic to beat his show rival, Adam Levine, yet again.

"To answer your question, it's f**king awesome," he said, when asked if he'll rub the win in Adam's face. "Yes, will I rub it in Adam's face. He may quit the show before I'm done rubbing this in his face!"
