One day after Sony Pictures canceled the theatrical release of "The Interview," theaters have been forced to ax screenings of "Team America: World Peace."
The 2004 film from "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone includes an animated version of former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il. Voiced by Trey, the movie depicts the leader being murdered.
"The Interview," meanwhile, fictionalizes a death scene involving the current North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the son of Kim Jong Il.

"We can confirm that the screening of 'Team America' was cancelled as the film was pulled from release. We are issuing refunds to those that purchased tickets," Alamo Drafthouse said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
Another cinema took to social media to post the news.

"Please note: Our Late Shift screening of Team America: World Police has been canceled by Paramount Pictures," Tweeted Capitol Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio.
Paramount Pictures originally released the movie in October 2004. The studio would not confirm nor deny the cancelation reports.
A spokesperson for Paramount had no comment when contacted by Access.
