Lady Gaga is not pregnant, despite a number of published reports on Friday. Gossip Cop can exclusively report that the rumors are 100 percent false. The Daily Star, for instance, claimed Lady Gaga appeared to be “pregnant with her first child… showing a baby bump as she stepped out in New York” on Thursday night. But the singer’s rep tells Gossip Cop talk of Gaga expecting is “not true.”
So, how did the rumor start? Gaga went out in a red, sequin dress that was a little tight in the midsection, prompting the tabloid and other outlets to wildly conjecture that she’s pregnant. The Daily Star even went so far as to claim that the singer appeared to be “sending an indication of impending motherhood as she placed a protective hand on her tummy.” Similarly, OK! stated that as she left a New York hotel, Lady Gaga was spotted “cradling” her stomach and “patted her bump” before a cadre of paparazzi.
The tabloids filled out their speculative pieces by stating that Lady Gaga has been together with boyfriend Taylor Kinney for a number of years, and has even noted that one day down the road she would like to have kids. Of course, that day is not today. Gaga’s rep tells Gossip Cop exclusively it’s “not true” she’s pregnant.
