Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon once again play two dorky campers from the 1990s in a hilarious sketch on Tuesday’s “Tonight Show.” In the bit, the best friends bond over their crushes, going through puberty, and their favorite song “Jumper” by Third Eye Blind during lights out at Camp Winnipesaukee.
When the skit begins, Timberlake and Fallon are tucked into their beds at camp. “Hey, Justin are you asleep?” Fallon asks his pal, adding, “You want to play truth or dare?” Timberlake replies, “Is it weird that it is just two boys?” Fallon goes on to ask Timberlake if he has a crush on anyone, and the singer admits to liking “Kimmy Gibbler from ‘Full House.'” Timberlake’s answer prompts Fallon to give him an air high five from his bed. Fallon notes, “Hey, Justin you look different than you did last summer.” Timberlake strokes his full beard and says, “You mean this?” He adds, “If you think that’s weird,” and then looks under the covers at his pubic area. Timberlake then presses Fallon, “You have some too, right?” The late-night host nervously replies, “Um, yeah. Yeah, I have some too.”
The two then agree to sing their favorite song from 1997, “Jumper” from Third Eye Blind, but they soon find themselves getting yelled at by their camp counselor, Mr. Fletcher, for being up after lights out. Before leaving the room, Mr Fletcher threatens to take away their “snack shack privileges.” But the guys can’t get the song out of their heads, and Mr. Fletcher soon returns after they continue singing. Mr. Fletcher congratulates them on losing their snack shack privileges. “That means no cans of beans with little tiny chunks of hot dogs floating around in there,” the camp counselor explains. “I guess we already have tiny chunks of hot dogs floating around,” Timberlake jokes, aiming his flashlight at Mr. Fletcher’s crotch.
Timberlake and Fallon agree to be “best friends forever” and the skit ends with an update on the campers and their counselor. “Jimmy went on to become an Emmy and Grammy award winning host of ‘The Tonight Show.’ Justin went on to become an Emmy and Grammy winning recording artist. Mr. Fletcher hiked up his shorts so high that he was swallowed up by them and disappeared.
