Benedict Cumberbatch is joining the Marvel movie franchise as "Doctor Strange."
Marvel/Disney confirmed the news on Thursday.
The character is a neurosurgeon who "discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions," after a horrible car accident, according to the studio.

“Stephen Strange’s story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity,” Producer Kevin Feige said in a statement. “In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character.”
"Doctor Strange" will hit theaters on November 4, 2016.
