Anna Kendrick was thoroughly confused, and maybe a little turned on, by a children’s toy that reminded her of a sex toy on Tuesday’s “Late Show with David Letterman.” The actress even asked the host how he didn’t realize one of the objects he presented in a holiday segment was really just a “fur-covered dildo.” Check out the videos below!
In the segment prior to Kendrick’s interview, Letterman tried out several kids’ presents as part of his annual holiday toy demo, including a motorbike, which he crashed into the set’s Christmas tree before amusingly riding out of the studio and onto the streets of Manhattan outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre. But when Kendrick took her seat, she was preoccupied by one of the other toys featured, a bizarrely-shaped object that somewhat resembled a cat whose head would move when a trigger was pressed.
“That cat toy, that is a fur-covered dildo, no?” a straight-faced Kendrick hilariously asked Letterman. “That’s what that is. There was a factory, they were putting those out. They said put a mitten on it, and sell it to children. No? It’s for kids now!”
Letterman quipped, “Whatever you want it to be, Anna.” The late-night host admitted that “never came to mind,” but thanks to Kendrick’s association, it was now all he would see. The Into The Woods star added, “They thought they were being sneaky with that, but we know!”
Kendrick further entertained Letterman by sharing stories about her adventures with Ambien, the heavy sleep aid that sometimes leads to some strange behavior that people don’t remember when they wake up. Check out all the videos below!
