5 Seconds of Summer appeared on Thursday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and the host gave some very excited young fans a chance to meet their idols before the show started. The catch? Each pair of admirers got just five seconds with the band. Things got crazy.
The fans were brought up to the stage two at a time. A door opened to reveal the 5SoS guys just inches away… and then the door slammed shut after five seconds. In most cases, the girls lost their minds and screamed, trying to convey just how much they loved the band. Eventually, some of the fans cleverly had their cameras posed for selfies before the door parted. During one of these moments, the 5 Seconds of Summer guys thought it would be funny to pull down their pants.
DeGeneres got a huge kick out of the whole thing, and it seemed like the band did, too. It raises the question: If you had five seconds with your favorite celebrity, what would you say or do? On the show, 5 Seconds of Summer performed their song “Good Girls” to a crowd of adoring audience members. A good time was had by all.
