Lily Allen is furious with the tabloid press for complaining that she doesn’t play the game and go along with the behavior expected of many celebrity parents, and the British singer is fighting back. On Thursday, she took to Twitter to voice her anger with an invasive paparazzi culture that she believes endangers her young children.

She tweeted, “It’s sad that because I don’t post pictures of my children across social media and my trying to shelter them from men wielding cameras that to a 3 year old look like guns, that the British media insist on insinuating therfore that I am a bad mother. I am brilliant.” “And I will continue to protect them from all the cynicism and grotesque consumerist misogyny till the day I die,” added Allen.

Allen and Sam Cooper married in 2011. They have two young daughters, Ethel and Marnie. Allen has not been shy about voicing her opinions in the past. Last year, she blasted show business for being full of “sterile f*cking Botoxed idiots” who “stink of desperation.” During a summer concert, she called FIFA president Sepp Blatter “corrupt” and a “c*nt.” We’re guessing she is not about to put up with anyone going after her family. What do you think about her comments?
