Kendall Jenner has been named the new global face of Estée Lauder. The news was announced by Jenner herself on social media on Saturday, with details coming in a Vogue article. “I’m super excited to announce that I am the new face of @esteelauder!” tweeted the reality TV star and model, who has spent much of the year walking in runway shows for major fashion houses.
The company posted a behind-the-scenes video from Jenner’s first shoot. See the clip below. Estée Lauder hails Jenner as a “fashion muse, It Girl, Instagram sensation, cover star… and now our new model!” In the Vogue piece, Jenner is quoted as saying, “I learned early that being a perfectionist and providing quality was the only way to do business. Workaholic is a good word in our house.” She says of modeling, “This is my career now, and I want it to be a long one.”
In the video, Jenner recalls the first time she wore makeup as a little girl and shows footage that her mom Kris Jenner shot of it. “To think back on being a young kid going through my mom’s makeup drawer, playing with Estée Lauder, and then, flip to now, I’m a part of this family!” Indeed.
