Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are not “secretly dating,” despite a new report, which Gossip Cop is exclusively debunking. The tale began with the cover story of New Weekly magazine, which touts that the two singers have been back together for three months and supposedly offers “why she’s taken him back.” Gossip Cop can assure you none of it is true.
Still, that didn’t stop a slew of other outlets from carelessly running the story. The Daily Mail, for example, wrote that it looks like Styles and Swift “could be rekindling their old romance.” The tabloid also printed the claims that Styles has been “plaguing Taylor with texts and calls” and “begging” Swift to get back together.
The paper adds that Styles sent Swift “1,989 roses to congratulate her on her latest album 1989.” According to the report, Swift has recently been saying “how much he’s matured” since they last dated in 2013.
Gossip Cop, on the other hand, took its time to fact-check the report, as opposed to other sites which simply regurgitated the inaccuracies published in New Weekly. An impeccable Swift insider called the stories about a supposed rekindling “hilarious,” and assured Gossip Cop that “no roses” were sent, let alone 1,989, and that the “Blank Space” singer and Styles are 100 percent definitely “not reuniting.”
