James McAvoy couldn’t contain his inner fanboy when he shot a scene with Patrick Stewart in "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
In an exclusive featurette from the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Blu-ray, James (who plays a young Charles Xavier/Professor X) reveals how excited he was to shoot a scene with Patrick (the elder young Charles Xavier/Professor X) in the most recent mutant franchise.
"When I got the part three years ago, it got into the news or whatever and my friend, who I used to watch 'X-Men' with called me up – and I was a huge 'Star Trek' fan as well – my friend Mark calls me up and goes, 'I hear you're going to play Patrick Stewart," James said in the clip where he's seated next to Patrick, who is laughing. "He didn't say Charles Xavier, he didn't say Professor X."
Adding, "I'm a very lucky boy!"
The "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Blu-ray hits stores on October 14. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to debut in theaters in 2016.
