Ariana Grande’s lyric video for “Love Me Harder” premiered on Friday. It was released as a surprise for fans.

The singer initially teasingly tweeted, “Surprise coming for u loves in a little over an hour.” Sure enough, a short time later, Grande shared the link to the video.
The clip has an old-school movie feel, playing solely in black and white with scratchy film. Grande and the track’s collaborator The Weeknd both appear in background shots.
The lyric video’s debut came just a few hours after it was announced “Love Me Harder” is Grande’s third single from her recent My Everything album to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, following “Problem” and “Break Free.”
As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Grande performed “Love Me Harder” on “Saturday Night Live” last month. When she takes the stage for the Jingle Ball concerts in December, it’s likely she’ll treat fans to all three hit songs.
