There was a real superhero fight on Hollywood Boulevard this week, when a man dressed as Mr. Incredible really got into it with Catwoman, leading to a violent clash in front of baffled tourists near the famed Chinese Theatre. Mr. Incredible actually slams Catwoman to the ground at one point, which just isn’t right.
On Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the host tried to get to the bottom of what happened. After all, the melee happened directly across the street from where the show is taped.
Kimmel conducted an interview with Chewbacca and Waldo, who had stepped in to break up the fight, as well as R.J., a non-costumed pedestrian who just wanted to sell his CDs in peace before the violence erupted.
Even though the original brawl was very real (and kind of disturbing), something about Kimmel’s analysis of the details makes for some very amusing late-night viewing.
Neither Catwoman nor Mr. Incredible was available for comment, and police are still looking for the latter. Cops have offered a reward for any information about the real identity of fake Mr. Incredible.
