Nicholas Hoult plays Kristen Stewart’s love interest in the upcoming Equals, and MTV wanted to know whether their height differential made that pairing a problem.
“I based the character loosely on Quasimodo at times,” joked Hoult in the interview, referring to the famous hunchback.
When interviewer Josh Horowitz said he expected the filmmakers to shrink down Hoult during post-production, the actor laughed, “It’s a love story, but it’s kind of like how they shot The Hobbit.”
(For the record, Stewart is listed at 5’5″ and Hoult at 6’3″, so no special effects will be needed.)
