It's the end of the road for Jennifer Falls.
TV Land is not moving forward with a second season for the half-hour comedy starring Jaime Pressly, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Billed as the Viacom-owned cable network's first entry into single-camera comedy, Jennifer Falls revolved around Jennifer, a career woman and mother who must move back in with her own mom with her daughter in tow after being let go from her high-profile job. The series was never a ratings performer, ending its 10-episode season with 610,000 viewers for its August finale.
Created by The Wonder Years' Matthew Carlson, the series was also executive produced by Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis. Jessica Walter, Missi Pyle, Ethan Suplee, Nora Kirkpatrick and Dylan Gelula also starred.
Pressly has already lined up her next gig, recurring as a recently sober woman on CBS' sophomore sitcom Mom.
The news comes one day after TV Land picked up two single-camera comedies, Impastor with Michael Rosenbaum, and Teachers, executive produced by Alison Brie. The network, whose portfolio includes the reliable multicamera comedy Hot in Cleveland, also announced a January 2015 premiere date for Darren Star's Younger with Sutton Foster.
