Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are NOT worrying friends with excessive “booze binges,” despite a new tabloid rumor. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report, which originated with OK!, the same magazine that thinks Pattinson impregnated Kristen Stewart in 2010 and wrongly suggested he might get Katy Perry pregnant earlier this year.
According to the magazine, Pattinson and Twigs “have been toasting their new relationship all over Hollywood — but their friends are worried they’ve been celebrating a little too hard.” A so-called “insider” tells OK!, “Rob’s known to be a big drinker, but he’s met his match in Twigs. They can easily demolish three or four bottles a night.” OK! fails to say bottles of what. (OK! also fails to realize that Pattinson and Twigs have mostly been spotted everywhere in the world except Hollywood, but that’s not the point.)
The outlet explains that since he and Stewart broke up, Pattinson has been concerning pals with behavior supposedly indicating that he’s “traded one toxic situation for another.” OK! speculates that he could wind up in rehab. Of course, already this year OK! has speculated about rehab fears for Khloe Kardashian and Prince Harry. OK! loves to spread bogus rehab speculation.
This story is basically a bad excuse to try to find a scandalous angle to Pattinson’s time with Twigs. Like previous rumors of Pattinson’s alleged drinking problem, it’s grossly exaggerated and unsubstantiated with any kind of evidence. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop, “They’re fishing for controversy. He does not have a problem.”
