Paula Patton is NOT worried about Robin Thicke’s supposed partying affecting their son Julian, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor, which comes from the pages of OK!.
According to the magazine, Thicke “is finally embracing the single life — with gusto.” The article goes on to claim the singer recently “threw himself a divorce party,” with a bash at a Los Angeles club that eventually made its way to his Hollywood Hills home.
“And his ex isn’t pleased,” writes OK! of the party allegedly ending up at Thicke’s house. The outlet quotes a supposed insider as saying, “Her concern is that Robin will hand off Julian to a nanny when he’s partying with a house full of people she doesn’t know.” Tellingly, this story makes NO MENTION of the OK! claim from last week, in which the tabloid alleged Patton refused to let Thicke be alone with the little boy, and only wanted monitored visitations with a nanny.
So, which is it? Is Patton afraid to let Thicke care for their son alone, or is she concerned he’ll pass Julian off to a nanny? OK! can’t have it both ways, and the contradictory allegations only prove that the publication needs better sources. Like last week’s false claim, Gossip Cop is told by a Patton pal that this new OK! story is “B.S.”
Actually, Gossip Cop hears that Patton and Thicke’s dealings have been amicable since before she filed for divorce, and she’s not worried about his parenting skills. That’s why she’s seeking joint custody. The former couple is moving on with their lives. It’s time OK! did, too.
