The pop star took the stage at the legendary Sydney Opera House, getting up at 5 a.m. on an off day between her final string of Bangerz tour dates.

Included in the audience were 1,000 contest winners.

The hosts asked Cyrus about why — unlike some other unnamed celebs — she’s so “chill.”

“I just kind of grew up in this world, so fame and money, I kind of know what they give you, which isn’t a lot,” said the star, “even though people think it’s kind of everything.”

Cyrus admitted, “I just decided, about a year ago, that my whole life goal was just to be happy all the time.”

She went on to make fun of herself, quipping that she’s a “walking joke,” and said, “It really doesn’t bother me when people tell me I’m crazy.”

“Because I am,” admitted Cyrus.

The singer further discussed her homeless VMAs date, Jesse Helt, and why she’s still supporting him while he’s in jail.
