Taylor Swift doesn't know Zosia Mamet, but she sees a kindred spirit in the Girls star -- or, more accurately, in her character. The "Shake It Off" singer told Rolling Stone recently that, of all the leading ladies on Girls, she identifies most with Mamet's Shoshanna, which the newly blonde Mad Men alum learned during an interview for HuffPost Live on Monday, Sept. 8.
"I'm honored! That's great," Mamet, 26, told HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri. "Shoshanna would be over the moon. Oh, she would be thrilled."
The HBO standout went on to say that she thinks Shosh is probably a huge Taylor Swift fan, though she herself isn't that familiar with the pop star. "I am not a huge follower of what's super up to date with the celebs these days, so I can't say I know a whole lot about her public persona," Mamet admitted. "I only know [of] her seemingly being a really savvy, classy career lady."

Swift's explanation for why she's a Shoshanna -- as opposed to a Jessa, a Marnie, or a Hannah -- had a lot to do with Shosh's transformation over the past three seasons.

"Shoshanna gets excited about things, she's really girly. And when she was in a relationship that was very comfortable, she made the decision to get out and go experience new things on her own," the singer told Rolling Stone. "And now she's becoming more sure of herself and taking life head-on, in a way that I can relate to. Even though I've never accidentally smoked crack at a warehouse party and run pantsless through Brooklyn."

Mamet's costar (and Girls creator) Lena Dunham -- who is among Swift's close friends -- sees the singer a little differently. She told Rolling Stone Swift is more like her character, "Hannah, minus the horrid sexual behavior. Or Marnie [played by Allison Williams], if she wasn't an a--hole."
