Darius, 41, started queueing for the new iPhone on Wednesday afternoon, to make sure he could get one for his wife Joanna.
The pair had been married 20 years and split up a month ago, but Darius is determined to fulfill his promise of getting her one. He says he doesn't necessarily expect it to get them back together, but hopes it brings her some happiness.

I did so many things wrong. So I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter...the first iPhone I bought for her, she was so happy...now she wants a bigger screen...I just wanted to make sure she got what she wanted.
