The Maze Runner sprinted to the top of the box office in its debut.
The adapted young-adult action thriller earned $32.5 million at the box office, easily beating the Liam Neeson film, A Walk Among The Tombstones, which came in a distant second with $13.1 million.
This Is Where I Leave You came in third with $11.9 million.
No Good Deed and Dolphin Tale 2 secured fourth and fifth places with $10.2 million and $9 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Guardians of the Galaxy ($5.2 million), Let’s Be Cops ($2.7 million), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ($2.6 million), The Drop ($2.1 million) and If I Stay ($1.8 million).
