DuckTales Theme Song, Opening Sequence Recreated With Real Ducks: Compare the Original and New Videos

What the duck! Disney's classic '80s and '90s cartoon DuckTales has been reinvented in an (ahem!) very realistic way. The YouTube page Oh My Disney posted the adorable new video on Monday, Sept. 8, featuring real-life ducks cast as Scrooge McDuck and his great-nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

In the minute-14 second clip, the troupe parades around to the popular theme song and finds themselves in life-changing predicaments. Oh My Disney even recreates memorable scenes from the original opening sequence, including ducks plunging into piles of gold coins, facing dangerous opponents like mummies hidden in chests, using crazy getaway vehicles like toy helicopters, and solving mysteries galore.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie's famous uncle Donald Duck also makes a cameo appearance at one point.

DuckTales first aired in September 1987 and continued through November 1990. The theme song was written by Mark Mueller and performed by Jeff Pescetto.
