Watch ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Raymond’ Producers Dish on Their Hit Shows

Super producers Michael Patrick King (Sex in the City) and Phil Rosenthal (Everybody Loves Raymond) battled it out for comedy supremacy in the late '90s and early 2000s — but on opposite ends of the comedy spectrum.

"We were the dull, blunt, edge on this side, and he was the razor's edge," says Rosenthal of the family-friendly Raymond.

Adds King: "Phil's was all about comedy and family, and ours was about no family. It was the beginning of that big range, where you could see either on television."

The pair made their comments during a Hollywood Reporter photoshoot that gathered 24 legendary TV producers for one unforgettable class picture.
