Joan Rivers is in stable condition at a New York hospital, after she stopped breathing during a routine surgery, a source told Access Hollywood.
According to NBC New York, Rivers went in for routine throat surgery on Thursday at Yorkville Endoscopy. During the procedure, the entertainer reportedly stopped breathing.
A call was made to 911 and Rivers was rushed from Yorkville to Mt. Sinai hospital, a source told Access.

She is stable condition.
On Thursday afternoon, E! released a statement.
“E!, Fashion Police and NBCUniversal continue to send thoughts, prayers and love to Joan, Melissa and their entire family," the statement read.
