Ariana Grande Thrilled For Album’s Early Success – ARTICLE

Ariana Grande has come out strong with her sophomore album, "My Everything," which has already hit the No. 1 spot on the iTunes chart.

"It feels amazing," Ariana told Access Hollywood or the early success of her new LP. "I put a lot of work into the album, so, first of all, I'm just excited that it's out. Second of all, it's No. 1, which is amazing, and I'm just excited to see that so many people are enjoying it. That like, is the best, most rewarding feeling."

The pop star said she had no idea she'd hit the charts so quickly when she was putting together her new set of tunes in the studio.

"No I didn't," she told Access, backstage at "America's Got Talent" on Wednesday night. "I didn't really think about that when I was making it. I just wanted to make the best music possible. I wanted to make something as good, if not better than my first album, and so I feel like we accomplished that and that's like a really good feeling, so, I'm excited."

Over the weekend, Ariana picked up Best Pop Music Video for "Problem" at the MTV Video Music Awards and she explained what it was like to receive the award from presenters Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

"It was crazy because right before I won my award I went over to Miley and I was like, 'That's Jim Carrey, like standing right over there.' And she was like, 'Oh, you have to go meet him.' And so as soon as I won I was having a heart attack because I didn't know-- I didn't expect to get an award, let alone Jim Carrey be the one to give me my award. And Jeff of course," Ariana said. "I was dying. That was the greatest situation. Couldn't have happened any better."
