Tommy Ramone Dead, Last Original Member Of The Ramones Dies At 65

Tommy Ramone, the last surviving member of the punk band The Ramones, died on Friday, Gossip Cop has confirmed.

No details about the cause of death have been released yet.

Ramone (pictured second to the left) was the drummer and a co-founder of the group, along with lead vocalist singer Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone, and bassist DeeDee Ramone.

He also produced The Ramones first three albums.

The band’s biggest hits included, “I Wanna Be Sedated,” “Blitzkrieg Bop,” and “Beat on the Brat.”

In 20o2, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Joey Ramone died in 2001 from lymphatic cancer, Dee Dee Ramone passed away the following year from a drug overdose, and Johnny Ramone succumbed to prostate cancer on 2004.

Tommy Ramone was 65.
