The late night talk show host sent a producer out to Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles to interview random bypassers on their thoughts about how pro Landon Donovan's been playing in the games so far. (Hint: Landon Donovan didn't participate at all in the World Cup.)
"We found people who claim to be big fans of U.S. soccer and we asked those people how they think Landon Donovan has been playing so far," Kimmel, 46, explained in the hilarious clip, "Now, if you follow soccer, you know Landon Donovan was cut from the team in May before the World Cup even started."

The fun and games began when the producer started asking people how Donovan's been playing, to which one person said, ""He took one to the nose, wasn't it? And he kept playing." One woman interviewed referred to him as the one who bit another player (that was actually Luis Suarez of Uruguay) but said, "he's hot so I don't care."
When the producer asked a teen, "Do you think it was right for President Obama to give him a phone call and scold him?," the boy responded: "He probably needed it, but I don't think it was [Obama's] job to do it."

One man even went as far as to say he "cried" after seeing the player conduct a "tricycle kick" against Portugal.
