As we get ready for fun, food and fireworks on this fabulous Fourth of July weekend, here’s a quick look back at the week that was in entertainment news.
From HBO’s mesmerizing new Sunday night drama to Robin Thicke’s latest mea culpa and a “Full House” reunion, here are this week’s five most popular stories on AccessHollywood.com!
5. HBO Serves Up ‘The Leftovers’
“Where did they go?” That’s what everyone is asking in the season premiere of HBO’s captivating new Sunday night drama, “The Leftovers,” when wondering about the sudden vanishing of 2 percent of the world’s population.
Picking up amid the aftermath three years later, we’re introduced to Mapleton Police Chief Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), who is hopelessly trying to keep his town – and his family – together. Throw in an all-white-wearing cult who doesn’t speak, some hard-partying teens and a mysterious prophet named Wayne, and it’s clear intense drama is definitely on the menu for Season 1 of “The Leftovers.”

4. The Return Of Pippa
Everyone’s favorite Royal sister may have stolen the show with her assets at William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, but as it turns out, the attention was very much unwanted, Pippa Middleton revealed to the “Today” show’s Matt Lauer.
“Embarrassing, definitely, because I suppose, it wasn’t planned. The dress was almost meant to be insignificant,” Pippa told Matt in a new interview this week.
She also revealed she doesn’t have any plans to try it on again anytime soon. “I think it’s the sort of thing I’m sure I’ll bring out if someone wanted to see it, or my children one day want to see it, I’ll show them, but it’s tucked away,” Pippa said.
3. Robin’s Latest Mea Culpa
It’s safe to say Robin Thicke is sorry – really, really, really sorry – over losing Paula Patton.
In yet his latest public offering about his now-estranged wife, Robin appeared on “Good Morning America,” where he opened up about his new album, “Paula.” “I didn’t want it to be all depressing because I didn’t want her to listen to it and make her sad only, so I wanted there to be moments where she had hope and positivity that… her and I can both still have a great life, no matter what happens and we’ll be great friends and great parents,” he said, making a reference to their son, Julian, 4.
When asked if he had a message for his fans, Robin said, “If you’ve got a good woman, take care of her, guys.”

2. Jennifer Love Hewitt’s ‘Criminal’ Gig
She’s all done whispering to ghosts and booking clients for that oh so sexy list, and now Jennifer Love Hewitt is going undercover.
The actress landed a regular role on CBS’ hit series “Criminal Minds,” it was announced this week. Jennifer will play Kate Callahan, described by the network as “a seasoned undercover agent whose stellar work at the FBI has landed her a coveted position with the Behavioral Analysis Unit.”
She’ll make her “Minds” debut during the season premiere in October.
1. A ‘Full House’ Wedding & Reunion
Dave Coulier officially said “Cut. It. Out.” to the single life this week, when he tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Melissa Bring on Wednesday.
On hand for the nuptials were Dave’s former “Full House” castmates Bob Saget, John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure and Lori Loughlin, who were all busy capturing the Montana getaway in a slew of photos posted to their various Instagram accounts.
Still no word if Jesse and The Rippers provided any of the music on Dave and Melissa’s big night.
