Disney Channel Renews ‘I Didn’t Do It’

Disney Channel is moving forward with more I Didn't Do It.

The youth-skewing cable network has renewed the half-hour comedy starring Olivia Holt for a second season, it was announced Thursday.

I Didn't Do It follows a close-knit group of teenagers in the midst of a wild occurrence — something incredible, something so comically absurd, it has them trying to explain away the craziness. Through flashbacks, they recount the various moments leading up to their present situation.

The series premiered in January and is tied as Disney Channel's top series among tweens 9-14.

"These five actors have an extraordinary bond onscreen and off. Our audience loves watching their chemistry as BFFs who get into the most ridiculous situations every week, all while navigating the challenging world of high school," said Adam Bonnett, executive vp original programming at Disney Channels Worldwide.

Tod Himmel (90210, The Starter Wife) and Josh Silverstein (So Random!) created the It's a Laugh production. Austin North, Piper Curda, Peyton Clark and Sarah Gilman co-star.

I Didn't Do It joins a portfolio that includes original live-action series Jessie, Girl Meets World, Austin & Ally, Dog With a Blog and Liv and Maddie.
