Esquire's coverage of the annual event will feature eight straight nights of coverage from the run in Pamplona, Spain, in one of the world's most iconic cultural traditions. The broadcast plan also calls for interviews with notable runners, including Joe "Iron Man of Pamplona" Distler, who has participated every year from 1967-2012 and more. Esquire will position 25 cameras along the route in the production of Wilshire Studios, a division of NBC Universal Cable.

Brown will co-host alongside Guad Venegas, Telemundo's lifestyle and entertainment reporter. The Esquire gig expands Brown's relationship with the cabler, which currently airs American Ninja Warrior along with NBC.

Coverage of the Running of the Bulls begins live Monday, July 7, from 2-2:30 a.m. ET each nigh (or 2-2:30 a.m. PT on tape delay) on Esquire.

Esquire's Running of the Bulls coverage marks the latest in live events on both broadcast and cable networks and comes as such programming — including sports and awards shows — becomes increasingly valuable in the DVR era.
