What a bargain.
Game Of Thrones author George R. R. Martin certainly knows how to kill off characters in a spectacular fashion, and now he's offering a fan the chance to be a victim of a gruesome death in his new book.

For £20,000, the author will name a character after a male and female fan and kill them in an upcoming A Song of Ice and Fire novel as part of a crowdfunding campaign for two organizations, the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and The Food Depo.
The winner can choose what title they'll hold in Westeros, including Knight, Lady, and Lord, and Martin promises the character will meet "a grisly death!"

Donation levels for the crowdfunding campaign range from £10 to £20,000, and other prizes that can be won by fans include a script of the first ever episode signed by the cast and crew, and one of Martin's iconic hats.
