Under the deal, Dyrdek will develop a new pilot for MTV, in addition to continuing his current shows. Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, which originally supposed to end its run after its sixth season (MTV issued a release last September announcing the news), is being brought back for a seventh season. Competition cooking series Snack-Off and viral video series Ridiculousness, returning for season five, premiere Thursday, July 10 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. PT/ET, respectively.

Dyrdek's history with MTV dates back to 2006, when he starred and executive produced the reality series Rob & Big, which ended in 2008. Fantasy Factory, which follows Dyrdek and his friends on outrageous adventures, began in 2009 and is entering season seven. Season six averaged 1.5 million viewers and a 1.4 rating among 12-34 on Thursdays. Ridiculousness launched a year later in 2010 and its fourth season was Thursday's No. 1 original cable series, averaging 1.8 million viewers and a 1.5 rating.

We look forward to continually delivering amazing content for years to come,” said Dyrdek.

Dyrdek also executive produces and lends his voice to Nickelodeon's animated series Wild Grinders.
