The Voice continues to keep its singers -- and its at-home audience -- on their toes, as Tuesday night's episode sent home not one, not two, but three contestants. This week, remaining players were either in the top four and therefore safe, or in the bottom four and on the Twitter-dependent chopping block.

Taking the Instant Save to another level, the episode revealed which four singers received the lowest votes after Monday night's episode (which featured introductory performances by upcoming season 7 coaches Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani). The endangered hopefuls were then asked to sing for a second chance, and Voice fans everywhere were able to collectively save one contestant by tweeting within a five-minute window.
First up were Audra McLaughlin, Jake Worthington, Kat Perkins and Kristen Merlin performing The Band Perry's "Chainsaw," followed by Christina Grimmie, Delvin Choice, Josh Kaufman and Sisaundra Lewis belting out Disclosure's "Latch." Then, the bottom four were revealed: Lewis, McLaughlin, Perkins and Choice. The final team members of Team Usher and Team Shakira were safe.
They each fought for the last top-5 spot before the #VoiceSave voting began. Blake Shelton's singers Lewis touted a solid cover of Aretha Franklin's "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman," while McLaughlin finally went upbeat with The Band Perry's "Done." Adam Levine's contestants Perkins -- with a new 'do of her own, like her coach -- leaned on her rock chops with Heart's "Barracuda," and Choice wore a smile while singing Bruno Mars' "Young Girls."
Just before the #VoiceSave window closed, the onscreen progress bar noted that Perkins captured 31 percent of the tweets, followed by McLaughlin with 25 percent, Choice with 24 percent and Lewis with 20 percent. Very shortly afterward, Perkins was deemed safe, while Levine's singing barista and Shelton's two female singers were sent home.

Levine now has two remaining finalists, while Usher, Shakira and Shelton have one singer each in the top 5.
The Voice returns Monday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
