Comedy Central has unveiled its replacement for Stephen Colbert and “The Colbert Report.”

On Friday, the network announced a new series called “Minority Report with Larry Wilmore,” starring the Emmy-winning writer-actor-producer.

Wilmore, currently the “Senior Black Correspondent” on “The Daily Show,” will host a “comedic look at news, current events and pop culture from unique perspectives not typically on display in late night television” beginning in January 2015.

Jon Stewart will serve as creator, as well as executive producer alongside Wilmore, with Stewart’s Busboy Productions backing the series

Wilmore’s resume includes an Emmy writing win for “The Bernie Mac Show,” which he co-created, writing and producing credits on series like ”The Office,” and acting stints on shows such as “Happy Endings.”

As Gossip Cop reported last month, Colbert plans to succeed David Letterman as the new host of “The Late Show” on CBS.
