Andy Samberg is returning to the hallowed halls of NBC’s 30 Rock this weekend to host “Saturday Night Live.”
The actor will close out the show’s 2013-2014 season, and he’s expecting Saturday will prove to be a very fun night.
“We’re going to try and make this finale into a party a little bit,” Andy told Access Hollywood on Thursday, as he rehearsed for his “SNL” gig.

The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star said returning to his old haunt has been heartwarming.
“It feels great,” Andy told Access. “It’s like coming home. It’s good to see all my friends. It’s good to meet all the new people and it’s really exciting.”

While Andy has created a sensation with a number of his musical shorts, including the Emmy-winning “D**k in a Box” with Justin Timberlake, he suggested JT won’t appear this weekend as a surprise guest.
“Well, he’s in Russia, so you tell me,” Andy said, hinting that the geographical distance will keep JT from NYC.
But the show should be a fun one.
“I’m feeling good about what we’re heading in with,” he added.

In related Andy news, the actor reacted to Fox moving his comedy, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” to Sundays, pairing it with “The Simpsons,” starting this fall.
“We’re on after ‘The Simpsons,’ now, which is the craziest and most amazing thing. I grew up watching ‘The Simpsons,’ and obviously, like anyone in comedy, was obsessed with it. So, yeah, to share an hour with ‘The Simpsons,’ is pretty mind-blowing,” Andy said. “I’m pretty excited about it.”
