Bryan Singer is accused of sexually abusing an underage boy in a bombshell new lawsuit, but the director is vehemently denying the allegations.
In documents filed in federal court in Hawaii, Michael Egan claims he was 17-years-old when the famed filmmaker molested him.
Singer “manipulated his power, wealth, and position in the entertainment industry to sexually abuse and exploit the underage Plaintiff through the use of drugs, alcohol, threats, and inducements which resulted in Plaintiff suffering catastrophic psychological and emotional injuries,” the suit says, according to The Wrap.
The legal papers claim Singer, who is openly gay, was part of a “sordid sex ring” consisting of “males similarly positioned in the entertainment industry,” and further alleges that Egan was not the only victim.
Egan, then an aspiring model and actor, claims he was lured to an Encinco, Calif., home in 1998, where he was forced to perform sex acts on the premise that the men would help his career — or pose a threat to his family if he refused.
It’s further alleged that Singer flew Egan to Hawaii for sex multiple times in 1999.
The graphic allegations — which Gossip Cop will NOT reprint — include tales of oral sex, sodomy, and more.
The lawsuit also names Marc Collins-Rector, a convicted sex offender who was the chairman of the Digital Entertainment Network, for allegedly initiating the abuse and arranging Singer’s involvement.
Egan is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy by unreasonable intrusion.
His attorney, Jeff Herman, previously represented some of the men in the molestation cases against former “Elmo” puppeteer Kevin Clash.
It is important to note that NOTHING has been confirmed at this point and no criminal charges have been filed – and Singer’s attorney has since released a statement slamming the lawsuit.

Singer, whose latest movie X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23, is best known for The Usual Suspects, Superman Returns, and several of the X-Men films.
Marty Singer adds, “It is obvious that this case was filed in an attempt to get publicity at the time when Bryan’s new movie is about to open in a few weeks.”
