Stephen Colbert’s Tuesday visit to “The Late Show” included some very amusing conversation about how the incoming host’s path (almost) crossed with David Letterman’s at various points in the path.
It turns out Colbert once actually turned down an internship with Letterman that he got accidentally.
Years later, he submitted a Top Ten list to the show as a writing sample, and it was never used — so Colbert read it.
