TV Ratings: March Madness Final Drops From 2013, ‘Voice’ Holds

Regardless of the game's outcome, CBS won their March Madness bracket on Monday night. The Connecticut Huskies' Championship Game victory over the Kentucky Wildcats averaged a 6.0 rating among adults 18-49.

The score, preliminary before time zone adjustments, was down a sharp 1.5 points from the early ratings for last year's game -- but still scored an easy Monday victory for the network. With pre-game coverage and a solid encore of The Big Bang Theory, CBS averaged a 4.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 14.6 million viewers.

The game did not deter The Voice (3.4 adults), steady with last week's showing in the demo. American Dream Builders (1.6 adults), while no Blacklist, was improved by a full point from its most recent Sunday showing. NBC took a 2.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 9.7 million viewers.

Dancing With the Stars (2.1 adults) suffered the most from the basketball boom. It fell three-tenths of a point with the adults under 50 set and lost its most-watched series status to the game. ABC averaged a 1.8 rating and 12.1 million viewers.

Bones (1.6 adults) posted a tenth of a point improvement ahead of a steady Following (1.4 adults), with Fox netting a 1.5 rating and 5.5 million viewers.

Over on the CW, Star-Crossed (0.3 adults) was down a tenth of a point.
